This with what Porsche released on their site confirms all that I did not want:
1. PDK only
2. That no-feel electronic steering
3. CLs continue
4. No decent seats. Sport Buckets are not planned to be on the order list
5. A 9A1 based engine. If Porsche still isn't confident to race them, why should we be confident having one in a GT3?
6. Those 20" wheels. Rear MPSCs are already available and they are a mere $900 ea
Pricing is exactly what I expected. GT3s are historically about the price of a Carrera S with Aerokit and the X51 engine option. This one is right in the range for one with those and a PDK. Based off how all the Carrera S' have been speced by dealers, I am sure there will be plenty of $150K sticker GT3s coming. This is also a good indication when the RS arrives that base price will be $150K+.
Yes it is a lot more expensive this time (base stickers by years with % increase):
2004 $ 99,900
2005 $ 99,900 (0% increase)
2007 $106,000 (6% increase)
2008 $107,500 (1.4% increase)
2010 $112,200 (4% increase) added bi-xenons standard
2011 $115,700 (3% increase) added bluetooth and universal audio standard
2014 $131,350 (14% increase) added dynamic engine mounts standard

Haven't viewed the video yet, but the PistonHeads article mentions the PDK controller has been reversed so forward is a downshift, back is an upshift.

The Japanese put rear wheel steering on their cars over 20 years ago so that shouldn't scare anyone. It will be interesting to see if Porsche has implemented a stability control algorithm that uses the rear wheel steering to some effect.
I expect they've installed a better version of the center locks. Probably a silent upgrade.
I've been converted to paddles by my DD. I think I could live with PDK in a GT3. This car is so fast, so focussed that a manual just seems pointless now. A stick shift is fun in a BRZ or a Cayman, but at this level of track performance it would just be a distraction.

HOLY CRAP! Expensive consumables on current GT3 was one of my biggest pet peeves. This takes it to an entirely new level. Breathtaking...

131k base... options can be about another 10-20k? (if you are getting PCCB with little stickers here and there and stitching options...) Oh let not forget the crazy audio option.
So... lets say 140-145k plus tax (6-10% typical US sales tax - and the lucky no tax state you can ignore this) depending on how you guys want to option.
For one thing, the car is pretty for sure. My wife still likes 997.2. But i think she is telling me "You better not even think about getting another toy"
