Demand is going to outpace supply... I’m glad I’m no longer in the market for one.
I agree... I wouldn't be surprised to see the average asking price of a high option Weissach car > $300k by this time next year. For many of us, this is the end of the road. I have no interest in a 992 3RS.

This^^^^ Always a little delay before total acceptance in the P world. With the advent of turbos everywhere in the product line (or hybrid motors in the drivetrain somewhere), 5-10 years may find a lot of converts regarding the 992 products. For me, I ducked all the way back to a 993 kills bugs fast Turbo while I ponder the next RS for myself--quite a bit of fun so far.

I can’t afford one, but have you driven one? I drove one on track and it blew my mind. Not great for cars and coffee tho.

Why not? People love my 992 3RS at C&C.

I know we talked about 991.2 GT3s in manual before, and whie I agree it's specifically a slightly better driving experience than the 992.1, I think the 992.1 package is "better" to me. While I like the looks of the 991.2, I love the looks of the 992.1 GT3 at the same level of the 991.X RSs.

I don't think the 992.1 GT3s manuals are going to appreciate the same as 991.2 GT3s due to shear numbers, the package simply tugs at my heart strings more. And oddly the slightly better refinement of the 992.1 GT3s eases my OCD a bit. (EX: I hate hearing rocks hitting inside my wheel wells lol).
I don't know how long you're going to continue talking about how much you love these cars, but I can confidently say, you better pull the trigger quick because you may get completely priced out if you continue to try to find "the perfect spec"...

I haven't driven one and I don't track my cars... I'd like to, but the tracks are just too far away. I use my cars mostly in canyons or for weekend trips, both of which I like having access to a frunk.

I agree though... If I tracked my cars, 992 3RS all the way.

There's been several 992 RS owners in TX here that have switched back to the 991.2 GT3RS. Seems like the chief complaint was the 992 RS for street driving feels just like the 992 GT3, which is significantly more refined than the 991.

One of them tracks extensively (regularly takes his 992 RS to COTA, VIR, etc) and switched back into the 991. I asked him why and he said the following:

991 is the best dude

The [992] RS is great but it's not as raw and there's so much going on it kind of takes the fun out of it

Considering my main use for it I can easily get too in the weeds with my settings and f*****g around with the car's behaviors instead of just driving

Are you faster? Yes. Is it worth it? Not really considering we are behind the wheel to have fun.

I currently own both 991.2 3RS and 992 3RS, and have extensively driven both of them on both road and track. I love them both, and I don't think either is a replacement for the other.

If I could keep only one of them, it would be the 992 3RS because its track prowess is phenomenal, the effect of the aero is very noticeable. But the 991 has a magic (feeling of rawness, lightness, connectedness, purity) that the 992 cars don't quite have. The 991 is also a rarer car and harder to replace. I think the 991.2 3RS will eventually come to be revered the way the 997.2 3RS cars are revered today.

100% agreed. 3-5 years from now, they'll be looked at in a different light as well, especially after the next 99x comes out.

That pricing would be high if the car had 3000 miles lets alone 20k.

Most of these dealers list high and end up taking about $10k - $15k in cuts along the way. The market is trending upward but not as much as the dealer pricing suggests.

Anecdotally, a friend of mine was shopping for a 991.2 RS at the same time I was (~Q1 2026). He looked at far more dealership cars than I did and mentioned most that most dealerships he spoke with were not moving more than 5k off of listed prices.
