Aggressive front wheel offsets on RS
Hey folks,
I think I've read most of the wheel/tire-related threads before posting this thread. I recently added RS fenders (which i obtained from @JCR-Porsche) to my 991.2 GT3 (build log coming soon), so I have the ability to increase my track width now.
From the most popular wheel/tire threads, it seems like most RS people who run 19s are running 19x9.5"+50. I already run that on my non-RS, though, so it seems unnecessarily mild. @SupremePower, who is an incredible resource on this forum, says I can 20mm more!
I also see that while most RS drivers appear to be buying Apex's 9.5+50 fitment, Apex also offers 19x10+42 fitment for RSes, which would push the outer edge of the wheel out 14mm.
Do any regular track-goers here run 19s that are more aggressive than 9.5"+50 on their RS?
Thanks!

I'm more concerned with tire size and how the tire choice fits on the wheel than i am about getting the biggest wheel to fit. I ran a 275 CR-S on the front of my RS and found it to be great compromise of grip vs. steering feel while not overwhelming the rear as i was still running a 325. I know you can fit an even bigger tire on the front but not sure why you would unless it's a competitive car for TT or something.

Yea, I'm with you on that. I run 265/35-19 GoodYear SuperCar 3Rs up front (and 325/30-19 in back). I'm not really trying to fit a wider tire; I'm just trying to offset (push outward) as much as possible for the widest track.
The reference point of the 10" wheel is mainly because a 10" width with 42mm offset implies one could fit a 9.5" wheel with 36mm offset, even though most folks are running a 9.5" wheel with 50mm offset. So basically, I'm trying to verify whether I can safely get that additional 14mm of track width.
