I have read through the posts quickly, so forgive me if someone covered this. I have seen PASM failures that do exactly what the OP has described on the track. If it was a PASM module failure (the fault would indicate this), the car would behave exactly as described on a straight. Depending on the condition of the car, I would pay to have the ECU dumped to determine if the PASM failed. This may help to restore confidence and expunge this from your driving record.

I crashed my 982 GT4 with PSM on when it lost the rear at high speed due to a crap alignment that lacked toe-in, with PSM enabled if you go sideways enough it will give the PSM/ABS error simply because it threw in the towel unable to correct the slide, not because the module is faulty. We repaired the car and it's driven well ever since.

Cup 2 anything on the street is such a waste. PS4S and give yourself the best chance for survival.

Edit. I took that on ramp North today, it felt a bit off camber. The one across the way turning onto Roy Horn is nuts.

Wow, I also live in Vegas too and get on that 215 northbound from sunset all the time. There was once I'm not even sure that I was on the right lane and all the sudden lost traction too, and my older daily (F82 M4) slid out but I corrected it. I always thought it was a fluke.

Really sorry to hear that. I wonder if something like this is due to the pavement and you can hire a lawyer?

One possibility is that the change in road surface caused the TC to make a large input. If they don't have grooved streets in Germany than they may have never tested for this case.

I can imagine how a change to grooved pavement caused the TC to register sideways movement (isn't that what grooves do?), and made a big correction. Also, this could happen only with certain tires and only at certain temperature (maybe the tire itself was not warmed up?) I imagine that tires need to be warmed up, even if it is 110º outside.

Unfortunately the only way to figure out what happened is to get the computer logs at the time. I don't know if there is a log of the inputs (especially TC).

The only other way is to reproduce the issue (which will be very expensive). And, even if you do, I doubt anyone will want to update the software to fix it...

Disagree with this and find the 4S to be insufficient in the mountains, although I do wish I had them in the rain.
