From what I have read and thus can’t confirm the ST has improved these differences and perhaps the 992.2 will have these changes. I had a 992 Touring which I sold and still have my 991 Touring and the above is from my personal experiences.
Yes, the 992 is firmer (springs have to be stiff to resist the doubled level of downforce). However, the 992 Touring doesn't get this downforce and is compromised with the stiff suspension that is only there to resist the downforce it doesn't get. Love the 992 Winged Manual car, but could see one preferring the 991 Touring for street-only use (but steering is still better on 992 Touring).

I've not driven the 992 Touring, but I have driven a 992 GTS. Did not care for the interior, too digital, too generic. The iconic gage cluster being mostly gone (except 1 gage) just doesn't do it for me. Likewise, the GTS was too smooth, too refined.

991.1 and 991.2 Generation are going to go down as peak Porsche I think (Kinda of like 964 for air cooled). Especially the 991.1 NA Carreras.

In before this is another 5+ page topic repeating what's been said in two dozen others while the OP is likely not even reading any of it

992.1 3 or 3RS: arguably the easiest cars to lay a quick lap time down. But the spacer (the occupant between the space of the steering wheel and seat) will always win out.

We were due for another one of these threads.

Can’t wait for next weeks.

The 992 benefits from the double wishbones, but also a faster steering rack ratio than 991 and also the 992 is a constant-ratio rack, while 991 is progressive ratio (slow at center and faster the more steering lock you apply). I like the predictability and consistency of the constant ratio. Also, the rear axle steering of the 992 has been revised, so that the rear tires wear much longer than 991 on track.
