Default Rotor replacement

Just curious as to when I should replace my rotors. They measure 33.4mm and I am about to put some track pads in the calipers. There is a little ridge of wear near the edge but no cracking between the holes.

Thanks for your input

I believe you can go down to 32.6mm Do you plan on replacing with stock or aftermarket rotors? I personally run my street pads with stock rotors and have AP Racing rotors to pair with my Ferodo track pads. Since you still have some life on your current rotors, I would recommend having one set dedicated for each use.

I thought you could lose 1mm per face (2mm total from the most worn part of the rotor). Did they start at 34mm?

I'm assuming they started at 34mm. They have 22,000kms on them with some track days.

I do not plan on swapping back and forth between pads and rotors. I picked up some RE10's after reading the pad reviews here on Rennlist and will leave them in. It is a 80% track and 20% weekend fun car.

I just called my dealership and they said there should be a minimum thickness stamp on the hat so I will go have a look. At the dealership they just add new pads until the minimum thickness is exceeded or there are major cracks.

Sounds like you have more life left to me (if you measured at the thinnest part and no big cracks). RE10 are great for dual purpose
