Default 991.2 GT3 to Touring Conversion

What's the rennlister value thought on a dealer converted winged GT3 to a GT3 with touring package?
Same as a factory optioned touring?
Less or even more?

Definitely wouldn't be more. Probably a little less since original always trumps a mod. Also, is it a PDK or 6 speed?

Why would it be worth more?

the duality of wing and touring ability?

Less, especially because it's doubtful the dealer would have gotten all the minor changes correct. There's a lot of tiny Touring details besides the wing that aren't immediately apparent at a casual glance. My favorite is the cluster graphic shows a wingless GT3 at startup.

I don’t think it would be worth more, just through that out as a data point. There is no duality, no idea how much time it takes to convert but I’m sure it’s intensive.

good point on the cluster. However, for a mechanic that works on these cars everyday it’s doesn’t seem like there are too many changes. Wild guess but maybe 8 hours to do the conversion? Front aero change, rear intake change, new lid and adding an interior button for the wing lift.

also w/o the original winged parts you are stuck with a "conversion" that is likely to narrow any future resale market (IMO, YMMV) you could not sell it as a winged car or a (factory) touring... I am not sure who that would appeal to ... certainly would disqualify such for me ...

I agree. However, if you really think about it it’s a package option. It’s like selling a car without the original wheels and perhaps a different type of Porsche wheel or swapping seats between buckets and sofas.

I would guess the cr has less value.

I wonder if the winged car was converted from a flat air filter system to the Touring cone filters. The air intake on the outside of the car is different on the 2 models, so I assume would require this modification.

It's a passion project, go ahead go for it. The 992 Winged car makes the best 992 touring IMO with the added tail at the back.

The more 991.2 Touring clones that are made will just make the 991.2 Touring even more legendary. I'm all for it

Ironically, I think the 992 looks better with the wing than without. It's more balanced.

You can code that screen with a Launch/Autel etc, that being said I agree, that the car should be valued as a winged GT3.
