Default Amazon/Walmat M1 0W40 same as factory fill?

Just purchased a 991.2 GT3. The car has been dealer serviced and doesn't need much right now, but I'm planning on doing some of the work on it myself.

As far as oil goes, looks like factory fill is Mobil 1 0W40. Is the M1 Euro Formula that is sold at Amazon/Walmart the exact same stuff as what the dealer would use?

Amazon Amazon

Thanks!

Thanks!
Same oil. The dealer will charge you dealer prices to change the oil. You can do it yourself for ~$100.

Yep, that's the plan. I've worked on a lot of cars before, just not Porsches. Just getting all the info together now for when I need to do basic service items like oil, spark plugs, air filter, etc.

Based on the service records that came with the car, looks like the dealer was charging over $500 for an oil change.

All the basic service is pretty easy, though air filters require you to remove the rear bumper. Normal services are easy, more complex ones seem to require engine out due to access.

There are a few Porsche Dealerships that sell parts online for a decent price: https://www.getporschesilverspringpa...RoCBHAQAvD_BwE , https://www.suncoastparts.com/ , https://www.pelicanparts.com/Porsche/index-SC.htm

I find Porsche Silver Springs usually has the best prices.
