I enjoyed my 992 GT3 a lot but it wasn't as raw and road responsive as the 991 GT3. I missed some of the rawness of the 991. I also preferred the exclusivity both in numbers and appearance of the 991 PTS program, Far fewer 991 PTS Tourings than the 992 and I feel it to be a better value hold or riser in the future.

if someone said any car is more or less raw than another, what would you think they meant? the more raw vs less raw seems to be a common topic around here, but ive never actually seen someone question it this way. Raw i think is always meant to imply less electronic nannies and insulation/luxuries. is this even debatable 991 vs 992? it goes without saying if comparing the same trim level in different generations, the newest will always seem less raw than the outgoing tech and mechanical components.

i had both as well, a few actually...........i agree with Brian. the newer, softer(not spring rates and rebounds but everything else), more advanced, and more luxurious, bigger, heavier, more insulated car with way more advanced tech feels less raw.

I like them both and we are blessed to be able to own/compare. Certainly liked the 992 setup enough and therefore jumped into an SC. (Diff. animal but you get it)
Raw = louder, more feel, more work. 992-smoother, less jerky.

Where did you find this car? I have never seen it listed anywhere.

The variety of opinion on this is all over the place, which is interesting. I know someone who owns both - he felt the 992 was more comfortable, livable and luxurious whereas the 991 sounded better and had a different kind of power delivery - maybe a little less refined, a little more urgent. Then I'll read some say on here that the 992 GT3 is stiffer and less comfortable and closer to an RS than the previous generation, which is basically the complete opposite impression.
I haven't drive both myself, so I can't say one way or another. I've owned a couple of 992s and there is a universal character to them - bigger, more spacious and less intimate interior with a lot more PCM intrusion in the basic functionality of the car and a generally more luxurious aesthetic. The 991 platform clearly feels like its from an older generation and that does make it feel more analog in operation, though ironically I feel like the material quality is better in the 991 than the 992.

I'm loving the Meissen Blue on this Touring. Congratulations on the acquisition! Can we see pics of the interior?
