GT3 Touring Service
New to the forum and also a (very happy) new GT3 Touring owner. Newbie question: Dealer tells m Porsche recommends 4-year service (including spark plug change and air filters) regardless of mileage. I bought a 2019 991.2 with 4,500 miles. Don't want to be penny wise, pound foolish but wondering if the spark plug change is necessary at this low mileage? Thanks, all.

the general consensus would be yes. less about the age/viability of the plug but more to keep the timing of things in line but to also eliminate the possibility of age making it harder to remove....

Yes, this is what my Speedster plugs looked like after 2k miles. Tech also said drive the car harder as you see some oil residue on the plugs. 😎

I was in your exact situation in April (bought a low mileage 991.2 Touring) and decided to do the service based on feedback. Seems like overkill but decided it's better to have the service completely up to date.

Good call. I didn't need much convincing just wanted to make sure it wasn't a dealer trying to make a buck...because the price was VERY high. Definitely going to check out good independent shops. I'm in SoCal and have heard good things about Callas Rennsport, though it and many other independents seem to focus on air cooled.

Shouldn’t be too bad. Plugs and oil change at my SoCal dealer (one of the good ones) was $1750 out the door including Uber black ride.
