991.2 gt3 manual vs 996 gt2
I’ve been looking to get into a 991.2 gt3 manual but an opportunity came up to get into a 996 gt2. It will be tracked maybe 3-4 times a year (Hpde) I’ve always wanted a gt2 and this has a kw club sport suspension, Porsche roll bar and Porsche club sport seats. Price wise and mileage is about the same. Plan on keeping either long term. Any thoughts/ experiences would be helpful. I’m coming from a 997.1S that I tracked for 10 years and finally sold.

Have you driven both cars?
They're completely different animals.
The 996 GT2 is analog as analog can get nowadays. No traction control, old school hydraulic steering, old school turbo lag, etc. The 991.2 GT3 has all tech and gizmos modern Porsches have been known for the past decade or so.
I think the only similarity between the two is that both are MT.
Not saying one is better or worse than the other, just that they are different.
Like asking would you rather have a rotary phone, or an IPhone, to make a phone call.
