Default 991 chinese laser headlights?

Hello, first time to post a thread, so go easy fellas and gals.

I posted the below to another thread but no one replied or commented on it so I decided to post my own thread hoping to see if anyone has any experience with them.

Has anyone tried or have these LED headlights from aliexpress? They claim it is a direct plug and play for 991 pcars from 2012 to 2018. They look like the new laser headlights from the newest 911's.

I could only find a couple of reviews on their site from possibly thailand or the Philippines, that say they work.

And yes I know they are from China and could be cheap but I would think/hope they are made with better quality as they are made for Porsche cars.

Anyone with insight please let me know. I wanted to know if they are worth the purchase and if there are any issues as far as quality and it actually working. Thanks!

You can Google "Aliexpress Porsche 911 headlights" or use the link to see what Im taking about.

I'm thinking they are laser led light, what ever that means. I was just hoping, on the off chance, they are good to go. Haha high hopes sir!

From what I've seen posted here, the knockoff sport chrono and infotainment system are really high quality.

I'm sure they work just fine if you go past the multitude of dash errors the BCM is going to throw and if you're ok using your wife's blow drier to dry the water from the inside after each rainfall...

That was one of my concerns. I guess I will have to dish out a few more $$ to get the bayoptiks headlights.

My post was just humor and was hoping to be taken as such...
I have zero experience with these so FYI they might work just fine...

Wink

I tried the Jewish Space Laser headlights but they set California on fire. Or so I'm told.

This is just my opinion.

First, what's wrong with the OEM headlights? My 20-year old Litronics still give me good visibility at night. I can only imagine the improvements made in the last 10-15 years with 991 headlights.

Second, I would not trust a third-party part, particularly from a place where quality control has been a known issue. I recognize this is not always the case, but do you really want to be smoking hope here?

Which brings me back to the first question, what problem are you really trying to fix?

Good mod shops in China do not recommend customers getting made in china, non-oem electronics/electrical products for their cars, either the products don’t last or they can bring more issues to the cars. So yeah

Yes, thank you for thats. Thats is what I was afraid of. I am aware there are a lot of products made in China that are inferior.

I was hoping on the off chance someone who has invested in these lights would say they are actually good headlights before I purchased them. I dont see myself purchasing them without solid reviews or any history.

Nothing is wrong with the oem headlights that I have. I just wanted to update/refresh the lights to get the four points and LED beams. I have a 2012.5 C2S with xenon bulbs. Also, the outter lens are a little worn with scratches.

Just trying to make her a little bit more sexy, thats all.
