Default 991.2 GT3 AC sudden problem

Hi Guys,

My 2017 991.2 GT3 just reached 40 000km 2 days ago.

Today, AC started not working on cold, before on passenger side, then on driver one. In just a few kilometers.

With some other cars the efficiency decreased slowly when it was time to recharge AC, but I had the feeling this time it dropped faster. Vent is OK. air is not hot but I'd say lukewarm and a bit colder on driver side.

I had the feeling that I could hear a slight treble rattling in the ventilation in recent days, can be proportional to the speed of ventilation/breath, but so light that I wasn’t even sure and could hear it only when car on idle.

Is this a common mileage for recharge? How to diagnose if it is just time to do it, or if it is something worse?

FYI: I was on track 2 days ago, and, also, the same day, I crashed the front lip and underside and buper on a too high gate stop :/ Could it be linked? is there an AC nose in the low front of the car?

Thanks for your help, I don't know where/how to start to diagnose

Just made another test a few hours later...

The driver and the passenger side, even in Synch mode or all set on Low have different air temp getting out the vent. The passenger side is significantly warmer/higher in temp...it's not hot air, but ambiant temp air I guess
The driver side is colder, it's AC not only temperate air, it's really cold but not freezing.

A low gaz or a leak should affect both side the same way, isn't it?

If it was a flap, temperature should be as low as the setting I guess...

PS: when I made the tests, and setting tests, car was on idle for 5-7min. there were a large puddle of water under the car (middle/right of the car under passenger seat). So, i suppose it's condensation, then it means that dryer and condenser are working, isn't it?

I have a refrigerant leak on the AC line under my car (bad O ring) on my old 991.1. It didn't blow cold and hot out of different vents though.

So, it should simply be a lack of gaz due to age?

Functioning AC systems should lose refrigerant very very slowly. It is possible that you have a leak that needs to be diagnosed and fixed.

Ok!

does à lack of refrigerant cause these kind of symptoms?
