Default Do GT3s and GT3 RS have less rust-proofing than other Porsches?

I understand that GT3s and GT3 RS have much shorter corrosion warranties when compared to other Porsches (4 years vs 12 years). Has it ever been confirmed that the reason for the shorter warranty period is that these cars don’t have as much rust-proofing? I’m assuming the body is still fully galvanized at a minimum?

Where did you find 4? The warranty manual shows12 years in the US.

I’ll have to double check my manual, but I thought there was an exception to the 12 year corrosion warranty for GT cars such that the warranty is only 4 years. I assumed this was due to less corrosion protection for weight savings purposes.

Yes I saw this too, believe it’s only for the .1 cars. Not really sure why, maybe because the underside is all paneled off and thus susceptible to rust?

Regardless the rust warranty is basically useless anyway, only applicable to areas like painted panels
