Have not driven the 992 GTS but the fact that it is right at MSRP is nice and I can get over the speedo thing

So, it sounds like my real question is 991.2 GT3 or 992 GTS
Not to be contrarian in a GT3 forum, but I wouldn't rule out the C4S just yet. I had a C4S for several years, put in about 60K miles on it. 60K wonderful fun filled miles with kids in the back and long interstate drives. I traded it in for the GT3 when it became clear I was turning into a track *****. LOL. In my last year of ownership I had modified the C4S suspension and brakes, and was looking at further mods when I decided to just get a track car I can still use on the street, and traded in the C4S for the GT3.

For your stated scenario, "not a daily driver, won't track it much if at all. Roads in town are not great. No long freeway runs.", the better choices IMO would be the C4S or the GTS. The C4S because I'm still nostalgic about mine. However, passion trumps reason, logic, even sanity . So if you are passionate for the GT3, go for the GT3.

EDIT: Just saw the above post from TheScout13. Seems the GT3 is not pristine. More reason to rule it out.

My wife’s never sat in the GT3 so she wouldn’t know.

Any idea how a 20k service on the GT3 came to $12k?

it was probably in rough shape and had to have a bunch of stuff done to qualify for CPO (brakes, tires, catch up on services, fluids, excessive wear and tear, etc.). Plus those service bills are always padded to show the buyer - look how much we spent making it perfect!!

24K (not 20K) service:

Spark plugs
Brake fluid
Cabin air filter
Engine air filter
Engine oil
Accessory drive belt

At an indy shop, maybe $2k. At dealership... $12,000?????

Ok so the only thing associated with the "service" is spark plugs. The rest of those things are unrelated.

BTW, I would NOT buy this car. GPS tracker? Dealerships are gettin' bold.

BTW, I would NOT buy this car. And if you do, I would demand dealer remove the GPS tracker.
Yea I have moved on from it. They have had the car since July and that is a red flag and apparently there is another member on here that knows the past history and says it is beat up on the interior, which is what it looks like from the pictures
