Default Exhaust sound sudden change?

My 991.1 GT3 's exhaust sound sounded different this morning! It had been parked for two weeks. When I went for a small ride today, and pressed the sport exhaust button, its sound is very different from what it used to be! So weird. It sounds more like harley davidson than a GT3 right now lol. When exhaust button is off it sounds fine, but when i press it its sound is very different from what it used to be.
Anyone experienced this before? What can it be?

The sport exhaust button opens a valve on both sides of the muffler that basically unmuffles the sound. If one of the valves don’t open, it might sound off. I’m sure there’s a RL on how to check, or you can swing it by the shop. I’m guessing that’s what it is since it sounds normal otherwise.

Make sure the rubber hose in the valves are still connected.

They slip off from parking the car too long? Mine were quite difficult to pull off when removing the side mufflers.

That’s strange. The sport exhaust button on a GT3 doesn’t do much while driving. It opens the valves while idling but they close as soon you start moving and they open again after 3500rpm or so in that range. This is controlled by the ECU, not the sport exhaust button. So if it’s making a drastic change in sound, maybe there’s a leak at one of the clamps on the tubing with the valves. Or maybe there’s a hole in one of the mufflers.

The valves commonly fail and this is likely the issue if the hoses are intact and properly attached.
