I supose they are used to give you more clearance on the front wheels after the new allignment, but this is just my suposition.

Yes that is what I am running and after 55 laps at the Ring and a few hundred street kms, I am just fine, plenty of meat everywhere and no sign of massive wear. This is on my second set of Cup2s
On the first set I had quite the same experience, I had to throw them away as they were completely out of grip, way before cording them, but I did the following.. 1.5days in Serres, 4x20m sessions Hungaroring, maybe 20 laps at the NRing, 2x30m sessions in SPA, one trackday in BRNO and a lot of street miles.. maybe 1500?! ... (Cup2s where already burnt at SPA, but I decided to keep them on as they where still meaty).. so do what they say and you should be happy

Thanks for the feedback on the tire wear. I'll start my second set of Cup2s with the Manthey setup now. First set with 7000km including around 15 x 15 min sessions at the track still has a lot of meat but grip seems to be fading away (also 4 years already on the car).

Just had last trackday a couple of days ago. Kit is being installed now,

I hope to have feedback in a couple of weeks. I'll keep the old tires for a first test to have a better idea of the alignment change results alone.

Did you ever get an answer or did Manthey include any documentation with the parts kit about where the different parts are to be installed, especially the black pieces?

They didn't have a document in english but provided all the info needed to install, they also kindly answered every question we had.

The black parts are as following:

Porsche part number: 991.333.955.80

Thanks for sharing the photo of the kit. I find the front top mount spacer plates to be interesting. I wonder if these spacers plates are meant to be fitted underneath the strut tower as droop spacers to increase front suspension droop by spacing the strut assembly downward, or meant to be fitted on top of the strut tower to increase rigidity between the 3 studs. And/or to display the brand logo. Hmmm.

Those are spacer plates to be fitted underneath the strut tower. I believe they help with wheel clearance to avoid fender rubbing.

Thanks for the info. I'd have thought to raise the OEM spring collar to add more clearance(i.e. raise the front ride height). Interesting that the MR choose spacers for the task.

Tom you are correct. They are to go under the strut tower and are to help with droop

In this picture you can see the plate mounted

Very cool kit. I thought about going this route, but decided the Ohlins TTX Pro was good enough. They are both inverted front struts, and trick twin-tube rears, but only 2-ways for Ohlins. The KW have high and low speed adjustment, which is nice, but even for the most hardcore track guy, which I am, I've been totally satisfied with the TTX 2-ways. Here in the USA we have much better support for Ohlins, as opposed to KW. KW sales and support is virtually non-existent here in the USA. Shame, they have some great stuff, but I can't even get anyone from KW USA to even contact me back....lol.

Look forward to your feedback. Depending on if I get a 992RS or 991.2RS, still might go this route.

The front droop spacers make we wonder if it's more of a specific N-ring thing, where that track has so many high speed undulations, that the car can use the extra front droop travel, in addition to giving some more clearance to those fenders?

Just realized the OP was talking about OEM upgrades using only those few parts pictured, sorry for my misunderstanding, I thought you were talking about their 3/4 way suspension kits....
