I use exoshield. I took some pretty good hits at the last Smokies event, and it held up very well. I use it for a few years, and replace. I personally don't like replacing glass on these cars unless completely necessary. Putting it on new glass is always the best to avoid distortions from blemishes that are already present on the glass.

Exoshield has excellent optical clarity. It is thinner than the last Clearplex I had installed so I imagine it’s easier to install also. Windshield protection film is like any PPF; the quality of the installer is paramount. It’s not too expensive in my area, around $350 installed but it does wonders in saving your windshield at the track. As others have mentioned I consider it a replaceable item and if I can get two good years out of it I’m happy that it confers a much higher protection from breakage, etc.

No issue here. It's just clear plastic without polarization.
