Default Extended warranty

I normally keep an extended warranty on anything with 5-figure repair potential, but I’ve never kept any of my 911s long enough to need one. Now that I’m shopping ‘19 RS cars, I’m wondering a) if an extended warranty is worth it (does it actually cover the high dollar or common-failure breakables); b) can you get one if the factory warranty has expired (Ford ESP required my F350 to still be under original warranty); and c) what is the rough cost?

Buying an extra year of warranty on my 570 when I bought it (13 months remaining on factory warranty at the time) was roughly $4500.

Technically, you can only get a "warranty" from the manufacturer. However, you can buy a service contract from several companies.
I have bought the Easy Care Total Care on my current GT3, as well as other Porsche and BMW M cars I have owned in the past and have been well pleased.

If you buy a 19RS from a Porsche dealer, you should be able to get a CPO included.

I had a 19RS for two years, extensively tracked, it is a hard car to break!!!

imho....

It is not a Porsche dealer. None of the dealer prices are competitive to non-Porsche stores.

We deal with a lot of high end vehicles and can have sought to work it the best extended warranty companies in the business, Fidelity and Freedom Warranty. Freedom Warranty offers coverage on supercars that other companies will not touch, and repairs are accepted at their manufacture dealerships across the country.

a) Yes, even it is a known issue for your vehicle, the component is still covered
b) Yes
c) Complete manufactures extension by Freedom Warranty on a 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 5 years / up to 100k miles, $7,335, $100 deductible, repairs accepted at all Porsche North America dealers, covered for $275 in labor an hour.

Your McLaren 570 would be eligible for the same coverage at the same price, 0% financing is available. For quotes, questions, and example contracts you can reach me at (855) 924-1333 or tgibson@highline-autos.com

Only Porsche extended warranty is a CPO. They do not offer any extended warranties on RS models unless CPO.

Personally I wouldn’t buy other company warranty products for an RS but that’s up to you if you can find and trust a third party warranty company.

what’s not true? There are no “Porsche” warranties offered. As you say only “aftermarket” is offered….

Porsche DOES NOT offer extended warranties on RS models. I've confirmed this with six different dealers in 3 states, as well as with Porsche NA.

I have also not been able to find a 3rd-party/aftermarket warranty for an RS either...
