Default Porsche Warranty/Service Claim Escalation

Hello,

I am experiencing pre-mature wear with my PCCB brakes, car only has 4000 kms with 0 track mileage. A friend was able to get their PCCB's warrantied in the UK based on the fact that Porsche Germany deemed that it was a set of defective rotors. However, I have spoken to my local dealers in Canada and Porsche Canada directly and they are saying they cannot do anything about it. I was just wondering if there is a way to escalate this situation to Porsche Germany.

Thank You!

How did you determine pre mature wear?

I sent images to my friend that had his replaced under warranty and he said the brakes looked exactly the same. Also, I have another 2 vehicles that have PCCBs. One with 60,000 kms and another one with 26,000 both tracked and they have no signs of wear compared to my GT3RS PCCB's.

You might want to post some pics here for folks to take a look. Maybe someone has experienced something similar.

Sounds about right for Porsche Canada. Sorry to hear.

OP, it would be helpful to weigh the rotors as another data point. Have you noticed unusual pad wear as well?

At a minium I would suggest taking to the dealer to ask for them to measure the wear (carbon content, not weight) to determine the state of your rotors. there are many threads on this on reenlist.

Each disc has a measurement on it that the Porsche dealer can scan the disc and determine the wear. Porsche sets each disc's measurement when it's manufactured and each one is specific (you will see a number like 53/46 (don't quote numbers)) and that is the baseline).

Porsche has a method to determine this beyond what some photos look like, or opinions. It is down to the numbers and those alone.
