Default How to ship a roll bar?

I have a problem for how to pack and get a box for shipping a BBI roll bar? I m selling it but don't know how to ship it safely! Can anyone help?

Some carriers won't require you to box it, just bubble wrap with lots of cellophane tape so it doesn't get scratched, cause its really not going to get bent or damaged other wise.

I've seen them on UPS trucks, but policies may have changed since....

Having shipped one, the advice above is correct. Bubble wrap the heck out of it. They actually strapped mine to a palate.

When I shipped mine. I just taped cardboard at the corners and side surfaces. Take it to the actual UPS station. The UPS store will not take it unboxed. You should also prepay. I kind of fudged on some of the dimensions so they'd take it.

Agree with above, greyhound freight is the most economical. I shipped several "large" pieces this way including a rollbar.

I would also recommend in addition to bubble wrap also using some roll bar padding material - its most important to protect theF&R mounting plates themselves from damage ...

I ‘boxed’ one and shipped it via Greyhound. Terminal to terminal. Was least expensive method.
