Default First Time 991.1 GT3 Owner!

I brought my very first Porsche last year and it was my dream car, 991.1 GT3 which I stumbled upon at pretty good price given how the GT3 market is right now. I did a little digging and found out the car had the engine recalled and replaced on 1/4/2014 before the first owner took procession. Although I like the classic white, I decided to wrap my GT3 into a different colour as my 3 previous cars has been white. I've decided to wrap my car similar the 992 GT3 inspired Shark blue which turned out well. I plan on driving this car more often this year and track it for the first time but what comes to mind is how the 991.1 GT3 will hold its value after the 10 year engine warranty expires in 2024. I do have concerns about the cost to replace the engine if something goes wrong and the resale value. Any current 991.1 owners plan to keep their GT3 past the warranty? Has anyone have their engine replaced more than once? I've debated whether to trade in my GT3 at the end of the year for a 991.2 but the price difference of 70k is quite alot to justify or to sell the GT3 before the end of the warranty expires and not have to worry about potential problems.

Nothing to worry about with a drop in factory engine. It will be fine.

Unfortunately your replacement engine is most likely an F series better then the E series that the 14s came with, but not as good as the G6 series that's the latest replacement engine. So start tracking it asap and get that new G6 replacement before the warranty expires.

My car currently has about 33000km. At what mileage does the engine start having issues?

I would not not be concerned. History on those cars is well known and you were the beneficiary of the proper fix from Porsche and arguably the best outcome. Enjoy and drive it as it was meant to be driven.

It honestly depends on a lot of factors, the more you baby the car the longer it lasts. I want to say around 20k miles is the norm but there are people on the original F series with over 30k. On my old 15 991.1 GT3 the F engine lasted 19k miles.
At least now you have an excuse to drive and/or track the hell out of it, ha-ha.

Do you plan on keeping your GT3 past the engine warranty expiry?

Why don’t we all get together and collectively blow our engines up. Isn’t this why we bought these cars…yeah

If you want prematurely blow the engine, just use Mobil 1 instead of a good oil.
