Ultra Violet aka Mr Purple rocks well done indeed Nicolas

Maybe one day these guys will learn it's all about the driver.

I'm have no where near your experience, but I find it surprising you'd have so many items flying around in your cabin. That's kind of safety 101 isn't it?
Nice driving by the way.

I personally dont think simulators prepare you for the actual experience of driving the 'Ring - e.g doing 245. km/h at the compression of the Fuchsrohre!

It does prepare you quite a lot. Especially when you get good as simulator and that you understand what you do. Okey you don't have the G but the driving part and line is spot on. Personally I never had any lesson or anything, I just learned to drive on SIM and tried to apply it in real life.

I guess it depends a lot on the individual, I personally think its a dangerous practice. YMMV

SIM will learn you to drive and drive fast. It will learn you mostly every driving technique you need. Afterward it depends how do you proceed to apply it in real life coz indeed, there is no restart button.

Well I'd hardly call that barely driving. Again, well done.

Agreed. SIMs are extremely valuable training tools when used properly.

Hold on, are you saying to beat Porsche's official time by over 20 seconds on a 100 percent OEM car? So the .2 RS, with all it's upgrades, is only 3 seconds faster around the ring???

This is BTG time so we don t count the long straight. This 7.04 is equivalent to a 7:23 sport auto lap. just as comparaison, the official record back at the time for the 991.1 gt3 RS was 7.20 sport auto lap.

100% and to believe otherwise is ignorant at this point. Transitioned from track day driving (prepared by doing sim work even if that was 10 years ago) to real racing and won my 3rd race.

Went to the Nurburgring for the first time and did a 7:30 BTG lap within 20 laps with my 718 GT4, in no way would that have been possible without the sim work put in before hand.

Oh, and great driving!
