Default 935/RSR Mirrors on a Non RS Car.....

Thoughts on how these mirrors would look on a touring, speedster, or “regular GT3” car. Obviously these cars don’t have the aggressive look of the RS models but wondering to hear people’s thoughts on how these more modern mirrors would look. I’ve only seen them on a few RS models.

It won't mount without new holes drilled into the door skin. If you do take the plunge on the cars you listed, it'll prolly end up looking like the GT3R (which has the same mirror) just somewhat out of proportion given the narrower body...

p.s. this thing vibrates pretty badly at speed. Don't count on it being usable for anything other than a rough indication of what is/isn't there... also it's a flat not convex mirror...

For the determined few, the GT3R mirror housing is unvarnished carbon and some ways cheaper than the laquered 935 item.

All relative to Porsche pricing of course... last I remember the race part is €5-6k each side.

hmm I was told they were a direct replacement to the existing mirror holes. No drilling needed. Just remove the old and place the new. And yeah that was my main thought or concern on how they would look on a narrower body car.

The base is a lot wider with this mirror and it's mounted with a screw on the edge of each side.

If it's me I probably won't do it. IMO brings too much attention to the midsection of your car.

I do see your point with the two screw holes. How do the standard mirrors mount currently?

Here's a few cars I have seen with the mirrors....

if you wanted to do it could you just get the whole door? will the carbon door from the 935 fit? this assumes you love to also burn dollar bills

Those carbon doors are only safe with a full cage (side impact protection).

We had a customer request the GT3R mirrors on his RS and they looked fantastic! They do stick out more than the OEM mirrors though, so on a GT3, Touring, or Speedster, they might look a little off. We also had to drill holes on both ends of the base plate to mount them properly. Not exactly direct replacement.

I recently sold the car and took the mirrors off before selling it. I currently have the mirrors listed for sale on eBay.
The mirrors were a direct replacement...no drilling or cutting. The mirrors were installed using the same bolt the OEM mirrors use.
The mirrors come in an unfinished raw carbon. Before installing the mirrors, I had them buffed out and clear coated. Once they were installed, I had them wrapped in PPF.
I also had gaskets made using weatherproof material to go on the base of the mirror housing that rests against the door (just like the OEM mirrors) and around the edge of the base to give it a better OEM look than how they are on the Porsche race cars.
There was a little vibration with the top portion of the mirror housings (not the base portion that rests on the door) up to speed, but vision was not impaired at all and there was no additional wind noise or any other noise.

The 935/RSR mirrors, a JCR race pipe and windshield banner were the only upgrades I did to my car...really gave it that RSR vibe!

This looks fantastic.

So what exactly is the price of these mirrors and how/where can they be purchased?
