After watching them install the windshield so precisely at the factory with lasers and robots, makes me think it could never be duplicated upon replacement. But maybe it doesn't matter that much? It has made me consider protecting the original though...
Seen the same thing, all the lasers are for the robots. The robots are used for speed. I had my windshield replaced and the guy took almost 2 hours to do the job. He had a pivot arm that allowed him to maneuver the windshield and put in in place. He also had guides for alignment.
