Has anyone driven the new NSX? What do you think? How does it compare?
Watching a lot of reviews on the revised 2020 car and many are saying it is awesome and a total sleeper. I know they are different types of car, but both are sports cars nonetheless. They can be had for quite a deal right now. Especially with the bonker GT3 market right now. 2020's in the 150k's and 2017's in the low 120-130k range. That's 991.1 prices for an practically brand new car.

I had a chance to drive alone, and with a factory Honda rep, when the new NSX first debuted in 2016 at Thermal.
It's a very competent car, with a woefully cheap interior (Panasonic stereo system? WTF?). You don't really notice the hybrid system (in both a good and bad way).
The best I can describe the car for a Porschephile is to say it is what a detuned 911 Turbo would feel like.

I drove one when the new version was first released as an option to replace a 12 year owned 2001 NSX. It didn't feel all that fast and lacked drama (it is really is a fast car, just didn't feel it). I assume it is the normal Honda quality and it did look great but wasn't all that exciting.
I still like the looks of the new one but the GT3 is a lot more exciting for me (only my opinion)... hence my 991.1
Just my opinion

as a street car, it has advantages in terms of power delivery. But the interior is horrendous for a car with that MSRP.
Track car - hard to beat the proven formula of a GT3.
The only real advantage is they are available at MSRP -. The lack of demand in this economy should be an indicator IMO.
Also depending on where you live - dealer location. I have an Acura dealer 10 min away, closest Porsche dealer is 2 hours.

Probably the correct answer
My 02, as a Honda guy at heart and previous owner of a 00 NSX.
When I was shopping, the new ones were in the same price range as the .1 GT3, it was extremely tempting as the new NSX a beautiful car, exceptionally good looking with the peace of mind in being a Honda.
My ding against it was that it’s a car built around technology and eventually that technology will date itself, quickly. The GT3 (pick a generation) has a stronger element of timelessness IMO.

^ honda is a great company and will eat PAG for lunch IF THEY WANTED to.
but making accord and civic as well as lawn mower is more profitable.
the first NSX is still amazing TODAY
the new NSX.... well a blow up doll is pretty good too.

I was fortunate enough to drive the Hybrid NSX a few years back at the Honda Proving Grounds out in the Mojave Dessert. It was quite a treat with a well laid out road course, autox area, and most interesting, a 7-1/2 mile, 4 lane oval track. I was able to really put the car thru it's paces with a professional co-driver in the passenger seat (she was great!). I felt it was a very fine, fast car, but not very visceral. They really pushed (in a nice way) to purchase one, but I told them I had a GT3 coming soon and was set on it. They were very gracious and even bought me a tank of gas for my rental car.

As for the Porsche Forum LOL comment. I feel like this is the appropriate place to the this type of feedback? We should be open to talking about other cars in the similar price bracket? Seems like most folks on here have a garage full of cars and probably access to many others. Was hoping someone drove one and can add to the collective knowledge base.
I’m sure on NSX prime similar conversations are had about the GT3.
