Does anybody have any experience with replacing one of the climate control buttons as shown in the picture. It’s the “ auto sync” button . A friend of mine put a scratch on the button ( circled in red in the pictures attached ) and it drives me bat **** crazy because there’s not a mark anywhere else on the car interior or Exterior. Button obviously works, this is strictly cosmetic. I know it’s completely obsessive compulsive and I shouldn’t even worry about it but its all I see in the interior, yes it’s a sickness. Anyway does anybody know if it’s a tough job to replace just the button?

My money is on them not selling those buttons individually. Hope I'm wrong.

You have to buy a new control panel or try and find one at a junk yard. The panel from the 981/991.1/991.2/718 will all work as donors

Perhaps to ease your mental anguish while you are driving, until a permanent fix is installed, you could just get a magic marker to cover the scratch?

I recently replaced the smoking package flap ash tray thing because of a scratch and I’m also replacing the trim on my steering wheel because the black on top scratched as well lol. Glad I’m not alone with OCD

Check suncoast, I know they have some individual pieces like the window switches and stuff. They might have these buttons also

For the air con console, there are no buttons available on PET. Porsche tends to only offer complete assemblies. There might be a 3rd party company that has them like the 997 system buttons, but I doubt it.
