Wow! Congratulations, I remember seeing this beautiful car selling at a PTS premium. Such a unique color. I’m a fellow 3 RS and V10+ manual owner that almost sold a few times, but am currently holding strong.

I’m looking forward to both being in the stable beside each other. They’ve been my 2 dream cars fir a long time. I just can’t wait to get both spec’d out the way I’m building them.

This is awesome, congrats. Love your lineup. I kind of consider myself an Audi guy as well, I started within S4 and I still have it, 2013. Wife drives it now and my daily as a Tesla model three performance. I pulled the trigger on a .2 Weissach RS about a year and a half ago, and I’ve added about 8000 miles to it since. The most incredible car I’m so happy with it I can’t imagine not having it. But The current pricing for them makes it a little uncomfortable, it feels like it’s too expensive now to add too many miles and “devalue” it. So obviously I still drive it I just wish I didn’t have that kind of always hanging over my head. Not a bad problem to have obviously, it’s just weird. I also just added a Camaro ZL1 1LE manual transmission beast track muscle car. The idea is this will help me kind of limit the RS miles a bit on my long weekend drives. So I think at this point I’ve got everything covered and hoping to hang onto all of these for years and years to come. Post more pictures of your new RS when you can. Again congrats on an incredible lineup of cars.

Delivery!
Took delivery after a cross-country trek, late Monday evening. I will put a plug in for Daven at Grand Prix Motors in Oregon. Easy process from beginning to end with texts, calls, and emails. He sent multiple photos and videos and formed a relationship. No pushiness at all.
I’m excited to have this beautiful beast in the stable for many years to come. The LWBs fit absolutely perfect. One of the things I love about the 911s and the R8 (coupes) are that they fit tall guys like myself (at 6’4”) so well. Lambos not so much. I look like a pretzel in any of them. Same goes for the Boxster!
Anyway, I’m excited for the start of this ownership and I look forward to learning a lot here on Rennlist. As a long-time poster on both AudiZine and R8Talk, I know there’s a wealth of information on the platform if you ask and contribute.
I’ve already got the Clear LED side markers on their way, as well as the Porsche battery tender specific for the light weight batteries. And have a car cover on the way as well. The best looking one I could find is the .2 WP logo one. I’d have preferred a Porsche logo instead in its place, but not a big deal. I love the GT3RS on the lower sides! I’ve got a factory race team used R8 LMS cover for the R8!
Here are some delivery night photos.

Nice car. Are those Centerlocks stained?

As you’ve had time with both cars now, how do they compare, the R8 vs RS? I love your mindset. You’ve got the manual big torque v10 and then you’ve got the PDK hi rev inline 6. Anything else on your radar?

Don’t sweat it. Picture #13 of your post seemed like they were stained. I just asked because some have mentioned certain types of cleaning agents can do this. Great car!

That's normal for CLs.
Worry not.
Enjoy the new car in peace.

Congrats on the new addition! Just a comment on the back up camera. I added one to my .1 GT3. Navtv.com is an OEM plug and play option. Installed easy with my choice of camera and has the option to turn the camera on or off by pressing a button. Great for the track.

Definitely different animals. But I’m excited for both. Plus, my wife hates the R8 because she can’t drive a manual. So the RS will be something she can take out too.
