Ques: Alarm went off without apparent cause

Has anyone else experienced the following?
The car was in a locked garage with nobody home but me. I guess there could be a resident ghost I haven't met yet, but I dont think so. I'm pretty certain the alarm was set with double press of the lock button.
I heard an alarm sound, but I thought it was outside, so I ignored it. After a handful of seconds it stopped. Then it repeated the on off sequence maybe 2 more time before I got up to check. When I walked in the garage there were no alarms sounding, but a second later it went off again. I hit the key fob to stop the alarm, and it stopped. I reset the alarm, went back in the house, and it hasn't repeated in about 8hrs or so.
Has anyone experienced the same or heard of a similar occurrence?

AGM batteries do weird things when they fail. I’ve had one through codes for full ECU failure. I would check your battery.

Thanks
I haven't been in the car since it occurred, and no repeat incidents so far.
I hope no rodents are involved. The car is only a little over two years old, and it rarely sits longer than a week. Hopefully not the battery, but I'd rather that be the cause than rodents. I guess next time I try starting it I might get a hint as to whether it's the battery or not.
