I know it is subjective but looking for input. My car is currently pretty much blacked out (95/75 windows/windshield). While I love the look with the GR WP colors, as I am about to install my Ti roll bar and want it to be visible, I have decided to go with something that lets more visible light in. Trying to decide between going tintless (i.e. OEM) or an after market tint product that has UV/IR protection but allows a high percentage of visible light. Right now I am leaning towards Huper Optik ceramic i3: A-POSCR-i3CER.pdf - Google Drive. Thoughts?
Huber optic ceramic is a great film. I tried the Spectra Photosync and I honestly think it wasn’t as good as Huber Optic...
but in my opinion 3M Crystalline is still the best..
Thanx for the input...I too like 3M but the installer that has been recommended to me uses Huper Optik (HO) which is mainly why I am leaning towards that product, plus HO does seem to be highly rated.
I have researched tints for decades (AZ heat and sun is unrelenting). When I first moved to AZ Huper Optic is what I used. It is on my 2006 S Cab, and it still look great.
As years have passed ceramic tints have gotten better, and from my last 'research' Spectra Photosync is probably the best at heat reduction. 3M comes a close second.
Spectra Photosync is probably a bit more expensive than 3M or Huper Optic, but heat reduction is the reason why I went with it.
She's a real stunner, that is the look I am after...so is the 70% rating based on letting 70% of visible light in or blocking 70% of visible light?
The percentage number is the amount of VLT (visible light transmission). Thus higher the number, the clearer the tint. Thus 70% is the amount of light allowed in.
Different states have different laws, and in AZ, the front side windows is limited to 67%. There is no limit to rear sides or rear. Similarly tint reflection of light needs to be less than 35%. Probably most states have similar laws. Thus, most people probably get 70%, all around the car to maintain a uniform look.

Thanks...that was my line of thinking too. I guess my current film is 5%/20% then, I know my son has told me he can't even see me through the windshield let alone the sides/rear windows. I live in Fl. and the laws are similar to AZ but they are not enforced.
I've used 70% 3M Crystalline all around on two cars now and it performs well to reduce heat. I was a 30% user (sides and back only in that case) but over time I find I like better visibility and an arguably cleaner look with the newer lighter films.
55% Spectra Photosync all around and 70% on windshield. Done by Pepi @AutoSuperShield, one of the few installers in FL. It has a little hue to it, has been excellent against heat and you can still clearly see the rollbar
