I've been working with Ivan for over 11 years to maintain my Porsches. FYI- he is now located in Palatine the past couple years. Double FYI. Book your services with Lustr early. Ivan's schedule gets very booked up. Especially late summer early fall when everyone is getting ready for winter hibernation.

I shopped around extensively. Chicago Auto Pros, Lustr and Auto Image were the final contenders based on experience and reputation. I initially went with Lustr “because rennlist” but Ivan although a great guy only uses a certain product that is older from Suntek. I understood he uses what he has experience with, but I wanted the newer Xpel Ultimate Plus. So I backed out but he understood and was nice about it.
Chicago Auto Pros was more expensive and with two locations you didn’t have much assurance of who is going to do it. It was more of a faceless organization to me.
The choice in the end was easy. Auto Image in Barrington. They use the best PPF, and they were working on a Lamborghini Performante and a new Ford GT along with mine. That’s money. Amazing attention to detail and take their time to do it perfectly. No rushing. They had my car all week, because they went the extra mile and do things like working with Porsche to recreate the factory OEM rear badge template so everything is aligned perfectly, and ordered new badges to put over the PPF and ceramic coating. I stopped by while they were working to check it out because I was curious about the process, and they had the car up on stilts and were working on it under bright as sun studio lighting straight out of some TV show, to see all the details. It was an amazing sight. This was a full car job. They were careful and OCD to the extreme. Price was great too. I couldn’t have been more pleased as you can tell. I will only be going there for PPF in the future for sure. I also ended up using them for window tinting and again, they did an OCD job.
