I'm a touring owner. If I could - I'd buy a 911R in a heartbeat.

I am a Touring owner and I would not trade for an R. I prefer the looks of 991.2 and there is nothing like reving to 9,000 rpm!

I’m a Touring owner and I couldn’t care less, They all are great cars. Sounds like you have a little Touring envy. My car is better or whatever is getting a little old.

I'm going to swerve onto a tangent here. What do you think will be the 992 generation's GT car greatest hit?

I am a Touring owner and I am pronouncing that I love the car just because my RL Troll, smiles11, says I testify about my appreciation for my Touring too much on RL (see 992 GT thread). As a matter of course, I am taking it upon myself to satisfy his urge to troll. smiles11 - have at it!

Yep. Me too. A friend who has had ALL GT Porsches incl 918 - except CGT (plus a LaFerrari) has consistently said his R is his favorite driver of all time. He inspired me to buy the Touring. I'm keeping it forever - unless he ever decides to part with his R... FWIW, he has already reserved a slot for a 992 Touring. I think those are going to be extremely popular.

We are fortunate to be in a position to own these things and endlessly argue over model minutiae. First-world problems...

Amen to that! I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy cars like these. For me it is never that me or my car is better than anyone else or their car. It is just fun to ponder the plusses and minuses of different cars. So much of my world is stressful and difficult. When I do something with my car all is right with the world!

Interesting. This author wrote an article a few months ago in which he declared the 911 speedster the best 911 ever. If you are given five cars to drive and then comment, the article will be tainted accordingly. Not saying the conclusions aren't valid any more than Chris Harris or other professionals that may have come to different conclusions. These articles are very entertaining and help identify cars of interest. Nothing more, nothing less.

Too bad they didn't let someone who understands cars do this test/article.
