I think you are wanting to change the instrument cluster gauges, right?
They are available from Suncoast. As far as difficulty, I am not sure about that one.

I changed to colored gauge faces in the past. The first car I did myself. On my 997.2 GTS I decided to let the tech do it. One of the gauge pins broke and I thought I'd just need a new gauge. Wrong, Porsche said I needed to buy a complete cluster. Fortunately I was able to source a gauge from another person. I believe if you purchase your faces from FVD they will do the swap for you at an additional cost. If I decide to do it again I'd go that route.
