Looking for a brake fluid flush soon and was browsing for some new brake fluids for my car... Just stopped by a local shop and a "new" product popped up to my eyes...

I have always been using Castrol's SRF since the delivery of my car and have had two flushes... not exactly sure if this is a "new" product since I can't find any discussion on this fluid... Due to the lowered production numbers of the SRF's, the price of it have gone up by a lot so I was looking for some alternatives...

--> Does anyone have any experience with this fluid from Pagid? The whole name is Pagid Racing Brake Fluid 626°F...

I'll also add that you could consider Motul RBF600 or RBF660.

Haven't seen the Pagid fluid before. However, according to Amazon, it has been listed since 2014.


I will let others comment on how often to flush SRF. I would say it depends how much track driving you're doing. But if I was running high temp fluid in my car that is absorbing more moisture, I would want to do at least yearly if street driving with an occasional drivers ed event.

 

I don't have many experiences with the Motul Fluids... however, I have driven my friend's GT3RS with the Motul 660, and feels a bit softer on the peddle... Not sure if the fluid does anything in the stiffness but definitely a difference from my car with the SRF... We have exact same cars, same brakes

I see that there are listings on amazon and eBay but both have different packaging from the ones I saw today... the sales at the shop told me it's a new product and a few guys have switched to it from the SRF... Not sure if he's speaking the truth or just trying to sell... Don't get me wrong! I am using the Pagid RSC pads with my PCCB and would love to try out this fluid for track use!

 

My favorite is Endless RF-650 (what Porsche uses at factory for its race cars). Lasts a long time between changes and has great pedal feel. I change once a year on track driven cars (though no signs that it needed to be changed) and have gone years on street cars.

Endless or Motul for me. Used both w/ good results.

 

I had Kelly Moss do my pre-track inspection before doing a Road America track day this last Wednesday. They put Prospeed 683 brake fluid in it. Seemed to work great.

 

Motul 600 has been fine for me.

Endless and Castrol are great but a bit hard to find sometimes.

Whatever Porsche uses is working for me! Both pads and fluid, standard brakes. I'm a couple of events in, uncertain on whether I'll just take it in to the dealer for an "OE" flush, or try to line up an aftermarket fluid & shop. Part of me doesn't want to mess with a good thing.

 

The stock pads and fluid are pretty competent on the track compared to what comes on most other cars. But getting more track focused parts makes a noticeable improvement (and the Race Technology RE10 pads last much longer and preserve the stock rotors much better than stock pads).

stick with your SRF. The best one out there.

I have tried all the brake fluid listed above(except Pagid) in the past 5 years, here is my ranking:
SRF>>>>>Endless rf650>motul rbf660>motul rbf600

 

SRF gives a mushy brake pedal fee.
