In a way, I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

The bigger question is transmission. Rather than comparing a .1 PDK to a .2 MT, compare a 14 PDK to 18 PDK (and if you really want to confuse yourself, add in the 16 RS) and then decide why you would pick one over the other. There is too much choice (which is a good thing), and in a way, because Porsche has options for everything, it is actually pretty hard to find 2 cars that are exactly the same.

Thus, the only way to navigate choice is to become very focused on a few things (transmission #1), and then must have 1-2 options which could include color. This will severely narrow down buying options, and will also narrow down the price range. Then pull the trigger when you find what you want (but it may take months or longer).

If you do not care about transmission, then the .1 GT3's are probably the better 'deal' from a price point as they have plateaued in depreciation, and thus don't look at the .2 generation.

Thanks again - I’ve made a decision. I am going to move forward on the .2. Getting an overrev report soon. I will buy this particular car if the rev report is clean. (Also pending my test drive / inspection)

Thanks for the input guys.

My rationalization is that if I keep the car longer wife is happier and I’m not spending more money trading up to the ‘18 later (in a year or something). PDK car I’m likely to have fomo about the .2.
