It's Pendleton, Oregon, a great, old, western town. My father was born there, so have traveled there many times over the years. There's an incredible road about 10 miles east of town, that parallels I-84, as it climbs up into the Blue Mountains. I won't give more details, as I don't want to spoil it too much. It has 7 high speed (50 mph), banked hairpins that are simply perfection. I've driven it about 7 or 8 times, and never encountered another car on this road. You can see part of the road behind my car below. Be careful if you drive it, as the roads drops off abruptly on some of the hairpins.

@Chris88 I know this road! My son and I drove it on our way from Seattle to Lewiston, ID two summers ago. Our route was confined to state highways only, plotted to maximize twisties and minimize traffic/law enforcement. Pendleton was a lovely little town for our lunch stop at the distillery but the highlight was the Oregon Highway 3 descent / Washington Highway 129 Climb. Another must-drive is Highway 12 from Lewiston up the Clearwater River and over Lolo Pass into Montana, we probably drove for 35-40 minutes without seeing another car, just sublime 911 sounds echoing off of the canyon walls.
