Default Possibly dumb question...

Can GT3 Touring full bucket seats be easily swapped out for regular seats? Where would one source regular seats?

From my understanding, going to 4 way seats would be easier than going to 18 way seats. You could find them on eBay but pricing is always optimistic. I would rather buy them on here. I am sure you could find them from someone that built their car into a race car, or went to aftermarket seats. I recommend keeping buckets for resale.

I have also read that you can't actually buy new seats from Porsche. You would have to essentially buy all of the parts and build the seat. Buckets you can buy directly from Porsche though.

I don't know about easily, but many on here have done seat swaps for their 991 GT car including me. Some have had airbag light issues

I went from 4 ways to LWBS and it was plug and play for me, but I had to buy the buckets from another RLer which cost a pretty penny. Your best bet would be sourcing the seats from the classifieds/eBay or perhaps putting a WTB ad out. I've seen some sofas and buckets both come up for sale from time to time, you just want to make sure you match your stitching color and I would triple check with your shop before purchasing. The buckets are usually more desirable for resale if that matters to you, or you could sell them piecemeal to more than cover the cost of the sofas

edit - for the GT cars I believe the only sofa options are 4 way sport seats plus as well as 18 way sport seats plus, so I would hunt for those/sofas off of another GT car (avoiding 14 ways)

I bet you'd find someone pretty easily who would trade sofas for LWB.

when I was shopping for mine, the Adaptive Sport Seats and PCCBs were must for me. You definitely have the right idea.

Looking at a touring with sofas. I’d gladly swap for the buckets if I buy. Send me a PM if you’re serious.
