Hi there..

A buddy of mine with a .2 3RS is looking to swap out his Alcantara Steering wheel for a CF/leather version.

Has anyone successfully done this yet?

I would be the one installing for him and have no problems mixing and matching trim from another compatible wheel to make it work.

He does not mind if the diameter is larger than oem or if the rim thickness is smaller.

Yes, I did a thread on putting a wood wheel in my GT3 “heated multifunction delete” or something is the title. Others followed that to do carbon fiber.

Eh? I didn’t know GT cars came with heated or multifunction steering wheels. I thought the “GT” wheel IS the one with no functions and the only two factory options are alcantara and leather (no cost option)

Thats why I made the heated MF “delete” thread. Wood and carbon fiber only come heated and multifunction so you have to “delete” those bits unless you want buttons that don’t do anything.

Can a 991.2 CF/leather wheel with the rotary dial be deleted using the stock .2 3RS trim peices?
