Default Addressing awful looking damage on a PTS GT3 [video]

When the owner told me he needed 3 weeks to stomach the call to share the bad news that something hit the worst possible spot on his PTS GT3, my imagination ran wild. He sent me a picture of the damage and yeah, it looked bad. As anyone of us would be heartbroken having to repaint a rear quarter of a PTS GT3, it's the fear he was facing. But from my experience I felt as though the damage I saw in the picture was pretty limited and very likely just a dent below the paint protection film we'd installed a few years ago. When paint protection film (AKA: Clear Bra) takes a huge impact, it's normal for it to shear away and the remaining adhesive to greatly distort. That adhesive distortion makes for a scary looking spot but once cleaned off appetites tend to return.

Anyways, here's a video of how the PTS GT3 looked when she arrived and an explanation of the process to address the damage which was 100% fixed without any drilling into the body for PDR. If nothing else, I promise it's at least somewhat interesting to watch the adhesive being removed

Um...That's not a PTS 997. That's a 991.2 on which Graphite Blue was an standard optional color. I think.

I saw this car on Friday. 100% can't tell anything ever happened. Extremely well done.
