Yup. Built this while my mine was being built. 2704 pieces = about 30 hours. I’ve got a 1700 piece RSR to build and a 3500 piece (!) G Wagon 6x6 on deck. What’s happening?
Cool! Who made it for you? Let’s see the RSR please.
I found him on Instagram @SP_LINEUP. He used pictures of my car for his modeling and came up with that. Turned out really well, I’m really impressed. I actually don’t have any pictures of the RSR; been working from home last few months, I hope it’s still there 😂
I lit it up with an aftermarket Chinese kit sold on Amazon. The brand I bought is discontinued - there are several other kits for sale now below is one that looks probably identical to mine.
Its a fairly slick design, be aware though: you end up with a jumble of wires underneath the car and the new lit LEGO bricks detach easily due to the wire hanging out.
I don’t know if you have one yet but this is an amazingly functional model - working steering, limited slip diff, forward and reverse gears with 3 ratios switchable by paddle shifter, the pistons and crank turns, adjustable wing, seats etc.
If you want to do the light kit you should probably finish playing with the workings and showing them off then put it on display.
I also have both the GT3RS and RSR put together. I too have the Aston Martin assembled and the F40. Waiting in the wings is the Bugatti Veyron, Land Rover Discovery, Mustang and Batmobile. I recently ordered the new Lamborghini but it's on back order. We also have the roller coaster, merry go round and a couple of other items for my wife and I to put together. Nothing like being middle aged kids. Had the best nights sleep in a long time Sunday night after I put together the RSR that day. Something calming about putting Lego's together.
Awesome! Agreed. It sounds like you over-do things like me.
