@Erod24 , 3 reasons. 1). Sales lady was not very responsive, at all. Took me 2 weeks to get DME info. Covid wasn't helping, obviously, so I really couldn't just stroll over. 2) A little weirded out by how long the car had been sitting, basically well over a year... combined with how sales was acting, wasn't sure how motivated they were to sell. I realize they had wanted high numbers at one point and then started dropping recently, I was assuming they wanted at least 175k for it? 3) Have always wanted a carmine red GT car and saw my chance so went with that one, but slate is on my short short list for sure. Those seats are pretty awesome and clearly the car was babied as evidence by the DME report. If you're local, there's a group of us that do drives, palomar moutain, Ortega hwy, that sort of thing, if you're interested. I certainly would love to check out your car some time!

You are right they originally didn’t seem motivated to move on the car been trying to buy it for the last 6 months lol I guess the covid n them being close worked to my advantage. I would definitely be interested in doing a drive with you guys.

^I stand corrected, there are several codes for non-metallic slate grey. 789 has been referenced as well as Y97 and 615. I believe this round of PTS for the 991.2 the applicable code is Y97. 615 is a different color than Y97. Such a silly esoteric thing, but you know, some people really care about these details. I'm not sure how my list referenced 789 (it has been used as a Porsche paint code for Slate Grey), but I'll change it to Y97 to match the PTS list from 2017.

Congrats. You've picked one of the all-time great classic Porsche colors. It'll never go out of style. Enjoy.

My dad has a Shelby gt350r so when I compare the gt3 to that it falls a bit short in exhaust sound.

Looks great, and I like the look with silver wheels. Enjoy.

Regarding the sound, I completely agree. The stock exhaust leaves a lot to be desired, and is not fitting for a car of this caliber. GT350R sounds amazing at any rpm, and it adds a ton to the experience even just during city driving. I added dundon street headers to the GT3, and it helped the sound significantly.

I have the new PTS selection for the 992s

The (2) slate grey options are 615 and Y97.

I was flirting with a PTS C2S 992 series.
