I don't have any experience with the HANS brand and my carbon buckets but the Schroth hans device didn't present any issues.
Kool, I was considering the schroth / hand device too but heard a few complaints it applied too much pressure on the collarbone?? Looks pretty damn similar anyway, u liking it?
If your collarbones have no padding on them, then the harness, which has very little padding, and the padding that it does have isn't particularly generous, or compressible, will likely feel pretty uncomfortable when you tighten those hardnesses down as it did for me.
I put one of these from Eddie in my previous car. Eliminates the issue with hardware damaging your CF. If anyone needs one I'll ship this one for $125 CONUS.

Those little tabs on the neck restraint would seem to mark the seat, thoughts?

You're not over thinking it - the CF gets badly marked.
My recommendation would be to avoid HANS and go to Simpson (racing hybrid S) - much more lateral protection and more movement. Eitherway the CF will get scratched - use gaffer tape to protect the CF.
Use with Schroth FHR - ensure you pick the correct adjustment for you (either up or down pulls).

The countless race teams, resellers all pushed me away from the simpson hybrid s. It does seem to have a lot.of good reviews from individuals though. 6 points and hans device was always the recommendation, some won't even sell the simpson. Halo would be best but not for me in a street car.

I’m not getting in a debate with you - I am giving you good advice as someone that competes at state and national level in a car that is FIA compliant and has a Porsche Motorsport engineering sign off.
If you don’t understand the why’s and wherefores - you shouldn’t be involved in Motorsport - period.
HANS is better suited to open wheelers with partly reclined seats - it is suboptimal for enclosed cars with vertical backed seats.
Back to the thread, as specified in the title "carbon buckets and hans" discussion, not alternative products, e.g. halo seats, pure track cars, alternative neck devices, battery cutoffs, etc.
