We are a new vendor and very excited to be part of the Porsche community with large amount of enthusiasts on the board.
We have gotten few inquiries for making the rear scoop replacement using pre-preg dry carbon for 991.2 GT3, how many of you would be interested if we do a group buy. There are many different grades of carbon parts and pre-preg carbon is the highest grade for manufacturing CF parts which is commonly used on many exotic car parts, these parts usually cost a lot more than most wet lay parts due to its manufacturing process, but the end product will last longest and with the highest finish even under sun exposure. The vents below is for the 991 GT3RS as a reference.
We are talking about real structural carbon part, not carbon overlay item. The scoop was completely made out of pre preg carbon weights only about 270g per side vs OEM plastic 500g per side.

Although you cannot tell by the pictures/more likely renders above, if they are truly good parts, $1500 not outrageous. In fact, as so many things can be blurred/hidden by pictures, I would never buy a carbon part without seeing it "in person". Further, taken in isolation, the weight savings from this part is absolutely meaningless, i.e., you buy it for the same reason you buy a Louis Vuitton or an Hermes bag, its a fashion item/statement. On the 991 Turbo board, there is a long thread about buying carbon fiber side vents, also useless from a performance point of view but a "look at me" item.
$1500 is a bargain compaired to some of the vendors although I will admit that the quality of the parts is VASTLY different. It is all about quality of the manufacturing process and the overall fit and finish.
In what country are you located and in what country are the parts made?
We are located in Taiwan and we manufacture all of the parts in house so we are able to listen to our customers and do customization, most importantly cost will be very competitive.

Not at the moment, but we will soon in couple weeks when a customer's 991 Turbo comes in.

These parts can be manufacture for between $600-$800 but the manufacture process will be different which a lot of aftermarket companies can make using wet lay up (parts will be very resin rich), but the downside is most of wet lay up parts does not last very long time especially parts that are expose to sun for long period of time. The weight saving on these is probably meaningless but the build quality and durability is what we are really looking for when making these parts.
