you guys don't have to pay sales tax when you register the car in Arizona at the DMV?

EDIT--wow!! just saw this
I need to move to AZ...NYS sales tax on private sale cars is 8.75% in my county...higher in NYC i believe

I was putting a deposit on that Chalk car at the GMC dealer. It really is a good deal IMhO. If you’re interested let me know I’ll pass along the info I have. It’s actually a private sale. The guy bought the car and fell ill and needs to get rid of it. Car last sold from Porsche at near $169k and it’s a $172k sticker build.

I had been contemplating a fellow RLer’s car same time and decided to take that instead.

best of luck in the search.

That's the difference between living in a blue state that wastes endless amounts of taxpayer money on inefficient, wasteful, and pointless programs vs the lean tax system of a red state.

I love the weather and geography of California, but it could not have a worse more bloated government. Would much prefer to have AZ or other lean red state government here in CA.
