Drive both and make sure you're comfortable with the braking points they create.
My OEM steels do not have the initial bite of prior PCCBs so my braking points are further from the apex.

Watching this thread with great curiosity. I just took my 16k miles 991.1 Turbo S to the Ring for her first session (66 laps over 5 days). The PCCB brakes have been amazing. They have created a ton of dust, and now make a God awful grumbling noise, but I love them. Manthey tell me it's "perfectly normal". I was also told by the local guys to use https://teile.com/en as their PCCB genuine replacement parts are cheaper than a lot of after market steel kit. I think there's a lot of panic that comes from bar-chat and stories from older style CCB construction. I can't get anyone who does serious track work to fault the newer kit.

FWIW, Manthey said they get 20k track km out of their PCCB discs when racing. (at the Nordschleife, which is famously less hard on brakes than other tracks, to be fair).
