Default Carfax - Damage Reported

What do you guys think is a fair percent of regular market price for a CPO GT3 that has front end damage reported (no airbags) on the carfax but no accidents reported?

Less 15% for Carfax reported damage. Would only go 5%-10% if the seller/dealer had fully documented repairs (w/ pictures) showing the damage was minor and repair was done with OEM parts to PACC spec. That said, the impact on future resale would still likely push the value loss into the 10%-15% range.

15% off would not be enough for me. Just wouldn't want to deal with it when I go to sell or trade. YMMV.

Easy way to find out.
Call a dealer to get an estimate on 'your' car. Describe it in detail. Then after they give you a number say 'I forgot to mention this Carfax entry'.
That will tell you how much it matters to them.

Geez Obi, that's harsh considering what we both experience on track! I would have bet that you would be willing to pay a premium. LMAO!

Google "diminished value calculator" ... depends on the severity of the damage. If it's a scuffed bumper cover and re-spray, probably no value lost. If the front end/frame needed to be pulled straight on a jig, it could lose 1/3rd of it's value - no one would want to put a car like that on the track for example. Just because the airbags didn't deploy, doesn't mean the car didn't have moderate or severe damage.

in any event, not an exact science... .

If it's a CPO car, BTW, it probably was less than moderate, so you'd want to see the repair details.

LMAO Frank...I’d pay a premium for a GT car any day. That said, I would pay cash for any track-related issues...luckily my track work is limited to front bumper underbody scrapes...LOL
