Default 991 Rearview Mirror Removal

I’m attempting it tonight. Any tips? I’ve got my escort radar screen built into my rearview mirror - can anyone advise me on whether i’ll need to unsplice some wires or whether it may be a clip / harness? Thanks RL.

Application of heat to the windshield for awhile will melt the glue holding the rearview mirror and, it will drop off the glass.

Dan (had it happen when removing PPF that was on the windshield.

Thanks - I’d like to keep the mount glued in place and remove just the mirror and mirror trim - is this an option?
