I had posted a while ago about my 987.2 Spyder and it’s PDK failure and still trying to decide what to do. Does anyone know of any race shops that have successfully converted a PDK car to manual? Suncoast is saying a manual transmission is 8k, wiring harness is $1100 plus whatever other misc parts are needed and of course labor. The current cost of the PDK job is 13k so I was thinking if I could convert for the same price I may consider. I’d prefer a manual anyways.

For those curious, I got a quote from BGB Motorsports regarding a PDK to manual conversion. They have done them before, but looking at 25K for the swap

ouch! I'd just buy a new one (manual) - you'd never sell the conversion afterwards!

I learned the hard way years ago doing a 993 3.8L powerkit upgrade that such conversions are simply money pits that negatively impact the perceived value of the car ... I would have been better selling the C2S and buying a 993TT ... YMMV

That sounds cheap, but as others will tell you, it still is a waste of money.

Just fix and sell the car and buy what you want.
