Ideas for Daily (winter) Driver
#16
Got a Denali pickup at the moment for daily. Test drove a X3M last week. Good car little small. New X5 M coming soon. Considered that. Then happened to stop by Audi. Found out the GM is someone I grew up with. Long story short. First build slot they get for RS6 Avant is mine. IMO it’s the ultimate daily. Throw the kid and dog in back. Hit the road. Enjoy.

What do you not like about the RS3? I’ve had all manner of cars and I’m extremely happy with mine. It’s one of the most entertaining vehicles I’ve owned in a long time, but it took a few mods to bring out the beast in it for sure (10.72 @ 130 with just a few bolt-ons and E85).

I really enjoy the RS3. Honestly, a lot of it is simply the "bug" to make a switch...ie have been looking at RS5's online today for no good reason while watching the Bears game. It's a great point-and-squirt car- am leaning toward keeping it and getting the APR Stage 1 tune (that keeps the warranty intact) and switching out the drivers seat for a Recaro Sportster GT as the seats sit too high (for me)...maybe some new rims too. It's fantastic in the winter on Michelin PA4's. Plus 4 doors and backseats for the kids. What's not to like...now I feel like a dick for thinking about making a change. Mitch Trubiskey sucks BTW.

All the recommendations up thru but not including the ferrari ff are good...was thinking about a used / cpo’ed ‘18 R8...but prob doesnt make sense to drive that around during the winter, altho the V10 is awesome.

I daily a Q8. That RS6 is tempting but I do like the room of the Q. Used to daily a C4S. It was fine with Nokians until there was snow depth of 6 inches or more. High centered it twice and had to dig it out. Borrowed the wife's Q after that or took the bus.
