Default RS Front Spoiler on GT3?

Does anyone know if the 991.2 GT3RS front spoiler lip will fit on a GT3?

It will clip onto the front bumper just fine, where it meets the corner light it is too wide.

Ok so you just need the side pieces (https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...RSGT3SPTR.html) too then and it will all fit up without modifications?

^^^we have the same bumper as the GT3, but different spoiler lip, side pieces, side markers and fenders.

If you get the RS Black plastic side pieces, they will stick out about 1" from lining up with you side markers, and if you get RS side markers, then your fenders won't line up by about 1" with the side markers, but if you get the RS fenders, everything lines up fine (include the fender liners and fender vents).

Haha ok. That's the answer I was looking for. Didn't think about the side markers. Sounds like it's a no go. Thanks!

You don't want to do this anyway. In fact if I could do the opposite I would. The plastic is super brittle and cracks easily, and is 2x the cost of the GT3's rubbery spoiler, which is way more durable.

Well price wise from Suncoast the GT3 spoiler is actually more than the RS one. Didn't realize it was made from different material though.

Get it from the dealer it's like 150-175 for the GT3 and double for the RS. It's not just the material. The RS spoiler is completely hollow on the inside. It's a terrible piece of engineering that can't withstand any impact. I know of people who had theirs crack from track debris and I have had to replace mine twice in only 2400 miles. I am told the 718 GT cars will have the same material which is unfortunate!!

Consider a .2 CUP lip, should be under $300 - but as noted with the RS lip, it will stick out a little on the sides unless you order the additional (and costly) side parts from Manthey. The Cup lip just snaps on except for a couple holes that are needed inside the fenders.

I haven't been able to find the cup lip anywhere. How do you get one?

My friend has a CUP car so he sold me one. But I think FVD in Florida can get them. Shipping could be costly though as you can’t bend it. I’m sure someone on here
must know where to get Cup parts.

Thanks for the info guys. I saw the cup lip mentioned in a couple threads but couldn't determine how to get one either. Even the Manthey site doesn't list the front lip. Just the larger rear wing. Figured if I needed a new front lip I may as well upgrade to a more aggressive one. Otherwise I'll just reach out to my dealer and pick up a stock one for cheaper, as suggested.

I heard the older rubber parts could be bent, including the .2 GT3's. Is the Cup lip made from the same brittle plastic as the RS's? If so, I doubt it would be much stronger

It's more like the plastic on the .2 GT3 that I took off. It's pretty flexible as I've hit the turtles (curbing) pretty hard many times at the WGI bus stop and on the way though the esses at VIR (actually everywhere at VIR)....only a few scratches on the bottom, but hey its cheap and for track duty works great.

For those of you who modify the aero components, do you worry that it may adversely affect you on the track?
